Sakarama, the San Francisco Treat

But mrpeenee, our fans beg, what of Saki, The Adorable and Evil Cat? Oh, you know, the yoozh. Adorable and evil. We keep a water spray bottle on the kitchen counter to squirt him when he insists on jumping up there. As R Man points out, if a cat could roll his eyes in exasperation at our perverse thick headedness, Saki would. Obviously we just will not get with the program, his program.

He seems to be slightly less aggressive and more affectionate, yay. He also has become bored with all the games we usually play with him, except for the classic Chase the String. If any of you have suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them. The only one that comes to my mind is Put Him in a Box and Ship Him to Hell when he's being just too feisty.

In the morning when I'm getting dressed, I sing Scissor Sisters to him in a loud, exaggerated Southern accent. He seems to dig it, looking at me with an intense concentration. "Ya gotta tie yo fuzzy up wit a big red bow"

  1. Honey, even at her advanced age, Emma love to play Chase the Goofy Golfball. It rolls in all wonky directions, thanks to my old and uneven wooden floors. And while the floors in your house are newer, it might have the same effect. I'll bring one with me. And you can thank Henry for this; otherwise there certainly would have never been golf equipment in my house!

  3. Miss J's way-x bf had a fishing pole he tied a stuffed mouse to. He used to cast the mousey around the housey much to Mumpy the cat's delight. Other than that, Miss J's got nothin', esp no cat. Mr. J does not care for the cats. Only the pussy, and Miss J knows you won't play with those.

  4. I say enjoy it while it lasts...soon they, like my Pye, turn lazy and slatternly and won't even get up when it rains.
Ok, the same is true of me too.

  5. Expensive drapery and upholstery are always fun things for my cats to scratch and shred, they can do this all day long. One of my favorite cat activities is to dress them in ornate frilly costumes and push them around the neighborhood in a Victorian pram. Stick pieces of masking tape on each paw then let them try to walk around...they really hate that. Hold cat under front legs facing outward then spin in circles until dizzy then let go and watch the fun...add masking tape and watch your kitty pack it’s bags and leave your home.

  6. Do not encourage Mr. P to dress up cats in costumes. He already has a bad habit of doing this!

If I was a therapist, I would hand this out to my clients and charge them for it.  OK, OK, OK, I promise I am not going to turn this into ...
